I am reading it now, and finding it fascinating. I know I will read it many times. The Hawaiian ways give me a sense of peace.

    Dear Connie,

I am so grateful that you came to Mosaic Magazine. I have always loved and appreciated it but under your guiding hand, I have seen it become much more widespread and even more valuable to me both professionally as an advertiser and personally as an avid reader. Thank you for the courage in sharing your story [This little light of mine wants to shine, Feburary 2008] - this is one of many manifestations of your definitely Bright Light.

And please count me as always a fan.

  4. Joyce Cherniak

Awesome article [This little light of mine wants to shine, Feburary 2008] about your black hole moment Connie. I just want to tell you that you are doing a good job. You remind me of me. Keep up the shining, your star is bright and all the children of light appreciate you and all those like you who are working toward ascension. Purity of soul is worth more than any amount of gold could ever be.

    Hi, Connie,
I read your article about you and your daughter, then picked up your magazine and read your follow-up editorial the next day. I can’t understand what that lady may have found amusing in your first article, as it was just lovely.

I’m a mother of four grown children, and I agreed with you in that my children have also been my biggest teachers. We homeschooled, but I felt they were teaching me a lot about patience and trust in their capability to learn everything without being in a structured setting, so I learned at least at much as they did. Trying to force flowers to bloom is much more difficult than letting them develop at their own pace.

I, like most people, am sensitive about criticism from others, but now that I am older, I remind myself of some things I have read or learned:

    1. People who criticize or make fun of others are usually the ones who are inwardly too scared to actually DO anything–it is so much easier to sit back in their chair and criticize the ones who are actually DOING.

    2. The book about “four agreements”–one of the agreements says “Don’t take anything personally. Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinion and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.”

    3. Deepak Chopra really helped me in his book “Ageless Body, Timeless Mind”, with a small statement that said something about feeling empathy for people who hurt others because they haven’t developed to the point where they know how to behave any better. That really helped me to realize that I could feel sorry (that’s probably not the right word, but you know what I mean) for others who are thoughtless or even hurtful on purpose to me. When I get that feeling, then I can forgive them. I think probably that’s what Christ was trying to teach us when he said “Forgive them, for they know not what they do”….but the way Deepak put it, helped me understand it way better.

Anyway, your magazine is beautiful, and your editorials are beautiful–genuine and from the heart. I don’t want to read magazines that are superficial and about outward beauty only. Seems to me a lot of people are going that way……

    Keep on truckin’
    Grace from Camrose

    Hi Connie

I just wanted to thank you for such a great job not only with my article and ad but also the wonderful informative variety of information.

So many people really enjoy Mosaic…you touch so many lives and give inspiration and hope through the communication and contacts given in your wonderful Mosaic Magazine.

I also wanted to tell you how I related to your article..”This little light of mine wants to shine”…Bless you for your courage and bless you for your honesty, not only in your own life but in Gabi’s too…our children are such gifts to us and you are showing her how to live her life in authenticity, integrity, passion and belief.

I loved your interview with James Twyman too…the Moses Code was fascinating & inspiring.

Much love light and rainbows..and again Blessings in abundance and thankyou!

    Namaste Blessings

Hi, I’m one of your “happy readers”. I do enjoy reading my copies of Mosaic and would like to be able to read the news letters as well. I tried to sign up for them on your web site but the information you asked for apparently applies only to advertisers. I don’t have anything to advertise, just like to read the magazine.

  8. Mickey

I really enjoy your magazine and have been a subscriber for over a year. I enjoy the variety of articles each month, especially the ones that deal with more spiritual issues. I also enjoy the calendar of events listed. Keep up the terrific work and I look forward to your next issue.

  9. Shannon Laackmann

thank you for this [Learning to sing from my heart again, August 2008] Connie. I am working on getting over a shameful experience with singing when i was really young. you have inspired me.

thanks for Mosaic and your ability to share your experiences.

    hugs to you

  10. Colleen

    Hi Connie,

Your story [Learning to sing from my heart again, August 2008] moved me to tears. I am another person who has struggled thoughout my adult life with insecurities and shame brought on by unfortunate childhood influences. Now I find that at middle-age it is that struggle which is bringing expressive poetry to the surface and I am finding that other like souls are relating to what I write. In the end the difficult times help to polish us into the better beings that we can be. Bravo to you for finding the courage to overcome the effects from the thoughtless actions of someone from years ago. Lots of people never do find that strength. God Bless.

  11. Sue

This article [Mosaic Article by Dr. John Demartini] is very lovely and inspiring.

  12. Bonnie Burns

    Hi Connie:

I really enjoyed the article [Mosaic Interview with Elisabeth Fayt] and am looking forward to getting ELizabeth’s book and movie. Very inspiring. I sent the article and Mosaic out to a number of friends. Thanks so much and keep up the great work!!! My sister, Terri Ehlert, from St. Albert got me onto the Mosaic and now I read it online!

  13. Tom Gray

Picked up my first issue (Winter 2008) today. Particularly enjoyed your column “Struggling…” on the back page.

  14. Jean Woeppel

The winter issue for 2008 has really resonated with me. Thank you Connie for choosing the articles and focus you did for this issue. It has helped to bring some more clarity to my life and Being. What has been written has brought a better understanding for me to much of what I have been experiencing but not perhaps comprehending the purposes behind the experiences. Much of the time I have been heard saying, hindsight is 20/20, too bad foresight is not just as clear.

Thanks again Connie for all you bring to this magazine and its readers.

  15. Margaret Larkin

    Hi Connie.

I have only been on your e-mail list for a short time but would like you to
know that I really enjoy the Magazine and your Newsletter. I find that all
the information in both is very comprehendible, unlike other magazines that
    I have looked at.

Some years ago a friend of mine insisted that I read the 1st Kyron book. I
was not impressed and thought that she had gone somewhat loopy. However,
after reading your last newsletter and realizing that the world has indeed
changed and more and more entities are trying to get us to pay attention, I
phoned my favorite book store and asked them to save me a copy when the book
    is released.

    Thanks again.

    Margaret Larkin

  16. Kerrie Meunier

    Hello Connie,

I wanted to let you know I am very new to your magazine. This is magazine # 2 for me.  I am so happy and excited to have discovered it. I also want to tell you, I find the articles so interesting.  I never read a magazine from front to back but with yours I have learned so much.  I was also interested in all the businesses that advertise in your publication.  From your magazine I discovered Hypnosis For Life and had some sessions with Terri Cooper, whom I really admire.  She taught me a lot.

I have been discovering my spirituality and am so interested in learning more every day.  I was so happy to learn about the NORTHERN STAR College as well from this publication. I really like how you include websites with a lot of the articles; I have booked marked all on my computer. I also went to your website and listened to your interview with Jack Canfield.  I really enjoyed that interview and went as far as looking into a personal coach with his coaching people.  I apply the ‘secret’ every day in my life.  I also only discovered Ascendant Books about a year ago and really enjoyed reading the article and learning how it all came about.

I want to thank you CONNIE for the joy, peace and happiness your magazine brought me.  I am so looking forward to your next issue.  You can sign me up in a minute for a subscription.

I also want to let you know that I have joined your book club and am now reading ‘The Four Agreements.’  Thanks for all I have been learning from your publication.

    Thanks!
    Kerrie Meunier

  17. Marlene Checknita

“There’s really enough for everyone” is the title of an article written by Youmashni Naidoo. This particular piece was interesting to read as it gave personal scenarios of life changes for specific individuals.

  18. Keltie

Mosaic magazine has opened me up to a world of incredible people, mostly healers that are helping me live my life to a greater potential. Thank-you Mosaic!

  19. Michel Green

    Dear Connie,
I cannot fully express how much Mosaic Magazine means to me both as an advertiser and a devoted reader. I am always pleased and honoured at the look and placement of my ads and I must say the content is cover-to-cover reading for me.

I also enjoy your dinner book club suggestions; I find them to be thought-provoking and always find personal value in them when I follow-through and read the book. Although I haven’t made it to dinner yet, the key word is “Yet” - I’ll make it one day.

In the meantime, long may you reign - Mosaic rocks!

    Lovingly, Michel Green

  20. Lily Dutchak

I’m a new subscriber but have picked up your magazine a few times here or there. I loved the interview about your book choice so much I ordered the book. I have read the books by the author of the new book choice and enjoyed them very much. They are very basic but carry a huge knowledge. Keep up the good work.

    Lily from Waskatenau

  21. Heather Winacott

I am truly beginning to believe that the universe provides for us. I have recently begun re-exploring my spirituality and along came Mosaic! I am so excited to see a publication that is not only Canadian, but Albertan. Seeing real peoples stories who live in places I’ve not only heard of but have been to or lived in helps to make everything real. It helps me to see that I too can find my path in this world. Thank you to everyone who contributes to this amazing publication.

  22. Sharon T

I am a new reader and thoroughly enjoy your magazine. Had just recently read The Four Agreements then discovered it was to be your next featured book. Excellent choice.

  23. Marlene Kaup

Why I love Mosaic magazine? Mosaic magazine gives me emotional and spirtual inspiration.
Just the other day, I was feeling rejected and very sad from a negative and cruel comment made by my daughter.I read the book review and quote from The four agreemnts re: taking comments personally. Immediately I knew the divine was speaking to me through this review. It made so much sense and I felt it was so true that we agree to the negative comment and it leaves one feeling like a victim. No more taking commnets negatively. Thankyou, as i have had a wondeful christmas.

  24. Heidi Fett

Being a part of Mosaic’s in the 90’s I totally appreciate your decication and hard work.
I love the magazine and am sooooo excited every time a new issue appears. Mosaic Magazine is a fine piece of art and a great advertising tool for the wholistic community. Keep up the good work, I can’t wait for the next issue.

    Hugs,

    Heidi

I wish you a Happy New Year and to continue the success of Mosaic. I love the magazine and what I really like is that you give an opportunity to many great artist to expose their work. I do paint too and I appreciate very much each time I receive the magazine. I can see
that you put a lot of love into it and I’m happy to have our ad in your magazine.

All the best and have a wonderful year.

    Swami

  26. Irene Hostyn

You have been a great editor of the magazine and I love it and the open articles you write about yourself. Being of Ukrainian origin, your last article really hit me. I gather I had whooping cough as a baby and my mother thought I would never make. I did. Life has been a struggle for me too, but I have always tried to keep the glass half full. :-)) even though it has been difficult.

  27. Cori

Sometimes words are not enough to convey how I feel about life, and to say thank you for your work with Mosaic is a huge understatement. Having Mosaic around with all the news (if that’s what you want to call it) on the TV and radio is truly a blessing. For people to have a magazine with articles that actually help people progress in their lives instead of bringing them down is something we need more of undoubtedly.

My only complaint is I wish we could have it more than quarterly! Upon reading what you had to say about Robert Schwartz’s book I had my own ‘aha’ moment about my uncle who is one of those people in my life here to teach me one of my important lesson’s in life. I have forgiven him for what he has done to me as a child and I can easily say I feel love for him. For many years I’ve felt this way and I thought I had forgiven him as much as I possibly could (no anger or hatred toward him, etc) but when I read your words, “it takes someone who loves you tremendously to play the difficult role of ‘bad guy’…” it swept me into the realm of knowing who he REALLY is and I felt the connection we both truly have.

I know you are urging us as readers to read Robert’s book but I just wanted to say that your words alone have helped me and I’m sure many other readers in ways you will never know. I do plan on reading the book by the way! :-)

Every issue I pick up I just know there will be some article waiting to help me with something in my life and I just want to say thank you for that. Countless times I have picked up the magazine over the years and it has truly been the key to my next door or the step I was waiting for to appear. Your love of your job shines through the magazine itself and I’m sure many readers agree.

    Thanks again!

    Cori

  28. Marianne

    Hi Connie:

I so look forward to each edition of your magazine. Oftentimes there is an article about something I have been thinking about, or about which I’ve been searching for information, or something new that turns out to be an aha for me. I love the book reviews, the art, and access to different practitioner contact information. You are a wonderful writer and I applaud how you put yourself out there in your editorials…you allow us to see your vulnerability, which, in turn, helps us all to move forward. Thanks so much and blessings for another great year!

  29. Sesso

    Great site.

  30. Patti

    Hi Connie!

I am always in awe of the way Mosaic Magazine comes in to my life just when I need it most. Who knows how long it was on the shelf before I picked up the latest issue, read your piece and had a major ‘aha’ moment.

I have been a ‘courageous soul’ for a very long time now, dealing with a mentally ill, alcoholic husband while raising 3 sons. Often times people around me have had many things to say about our situation - “How do you do it;” “I could never deal with that;” “Kick ‘em out!;” “He doesn’t deserve you.” Yet, for 20 years (12 of which have been difficult), I have felt that I am meant to be with this person. Now that the lessons are coming, some healing is taking place and after reading your words about Schwartz’s book, I can sigh and relax for a moment while I reaffirm to myself that everything is happening just as it should and all this pain is for the much greater good.

I am so grateful that you and everyone involved in Mosaic Magazine “get it.” It’s like a truly understanding best friend. Thanks for all you do!

  31. Renee

Connie, as always I absolutely love reading Mosaic, and in particular your articles and editorials. In particular, this issue’s “I Love Mosaic” article (found on your ‘In This Issue’ page on your website) has resonated strongly with me.

I have been experiencing deep “real-eyes-ations” about the power of language lately. It’s popping up for me everywhere! At work, on TV, in an overheard conversation at the grocery store. It appears to be time for me to look deeper at this issue, and your writing offered me a glimpse into how important it really is.

I’ve always been aware of how strongly just a word or phrase can affect us. For example, I often hear people saying, “Don’t hesitate to call me…” I choose to create a more positive, inviting experience, so that phrase is no longer something I will use. Instead, I will say, “Please feel free to call me…” Sure makes a difference, doesn’t it?

Thank you so much for continuing to share your warm, soulful, heartfelt magazine with the world!

  32. Judy Ellis

    Dear Connie,

I’m a bit behind the times, it seems, sitting in our motorhome at 6:49 am, having just read
your intro page in the Winter/08 issue of Mosaic Magazine. Gotta hurry this note to you because
we head out this morning on a journey of discovery (as if EVERY DAY weren’t a day of discovery, right?)

Ric and I sold our house, moved out of it a few days ago, and for the first time didn’t purchase another one! Ric says he needs to find his soul again. I think that I’d better give some serious thought and INTENT to that idea too, since I’ve lived most of the past 30 years for my children alone.

Enough of me… I’m writing to tell you that I APPRECIATE your honesty, your humility and your sincere intent, in relation to Mosaic Magazine. Like you, the ideas you talk about in reference to Robert Schwartz’s book, “Courageous Souls…”, are not new to me. But I am forever in need of reminders!! I’ll look for this book on our travels to the southern States, as another piece in the puzzle of life.

God bless you. When we’re back in Edmonton, I’d love to join in on one of the dinner discussions, and bring along a neighbour or two, or three… Until then, NAMASTE.

    “I bow to your Soul.”

    Judy Ellis

  33. Joan Bennett

    Hi Connie,

I want to say thank you very much for your work with Mosaic Magazine. I look forward to each new edition. I would also like to comment that it is a good mix of advertising and very useful articles. Sometimes I pick up other magazines and it’s all advertising with no other real content. I love the balance that Mosaic has in this regard. It helps the reader be aware of any businesses they may have been looking for as well as having wonderful articles. And you have put so much of yourself into the magazine and I thank you for sharing your experiences.

And then there’s the Book Club Dinners! I have attended two to date. It is a wonderful way to meet like minded people and discuss things that aren’t always easy to discuss with others on a day to day basis.

Again, thank you Connie, I do love Mosaic Magazine!

  34. Maria Orydzuk

It’s always a treat to receive Mosaic first online, and then I get a hard copy from one of my favorite two bookstores, Ascendant Bookstore, and Crimson Quilt. I have a nightly ritual which consists of a warm relaxing bubble bath, my angel candle and a past or current issue of Mosaic Magazine. No matter how busy my day was or what time I may come home from an exhausting night I give “me” time back. Your articles always have a great theme, and reflect a timely message. They are leading edge, and written in a language that is easy to understand especially before bed. I like all the time, care and research that goes into every issue. You are plugged into the Universe with the amount of interesting people you interview. Thank you for the guidance, feeding my spirit, and nourishing my soul.

    A happy enlightened reader.

    Maria Orydzuk

  35. Sherry Martini

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the article you wrote, “What’s love got to do with it?” I was overcome with pure emotion and a piece of me healed. My parents divorced when I was three and while my father was dieing, he professed his love for my mother many times. They became close again and told each other how much they loved one another for the first time in 29 years. Now I see how love can still be there even if we don’t think it is and it was perfect for them. I am so grateful for you Connie!!!

I too had a psychic reading that was negative and your note reminded me how important it is to come from love. That is why I love working with the angels!

You truly are a gift Connie and you have been a blessing to me! Thank you again!!!!

    Hug………….Sherry

  36. Marijke Lindner

    Hello Connie,

I look forward to your wonderful magazine each and every time and I am always amazed at the interesting, informative articles. The “look and content” of your magazine is colourful and happy! I usually take some extra copies for friends and have utilized your advertiser’s services on many occasions.

It’s the best magazine for obtaining holistic information and it’s FREE! Hopefully I will be an advertiser in the next year so I can promote my Circle of Life life and wellness coaching! Stay tuned.

    Blessings,
    Marijke Lindner

  37. Michel Green

    Dear Connie,
I just had to tell you how much I look forward to the new Mosaic each quarter. There is so much heart, so much passion and delight and so much knowledge and professionalism in each issue. Yes, I know that Carol sends me a pdf copy of my ads in living colour but this is about spending time with an old and dear friend - after all. My Mosaic and I keep each other company at lunch when no one else is around; my Mosaic and I share a-ha moments many times through the articles and we keep up with what’s new with friends/colleagues through their ads too.

And if that weren’t enough the response from Mosaic readers to my offerings continues to grow. More and more frequently, I am told ‘I read about you/your workshop/your channelling session in Mosaic.’ Mosaic is, quite simply, the most effective place for my advertising dollar bar none. You are a person who knows how to build excitement and Mosaic reflects that in content, in the quality and positioning of advertising, in production of the magazine itself and in the people you gather to you. Thanks to you both for being such a good friend!

  38. Natasha Napoleao

    Hi Connie,

I just wanted to say thank you for your efforts with this magazine. What a great forum for us to come together and share what we know to help each other. Much of my own spiritual development has evolved through reading your magazine—and the openings in my life thereafter have been priceless… Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  39. Sherry Botti

Connie - Where do I begin? I have been reading Mosaic Magazine for about 5 years now, but in the last two years, have not missed an issue! Your interviews with individuals such as Gary Zukav and Mark Romero truly inspire me and remind me why I so strongly believe in the messages and meanings in their teachings. Thank you for making Mosaic something I look forward to each quarter. I always find I learn something and can easily connect to like-minded individuals/entrepreneurs.

I have advertised in Mosaic faithfully and will continue to do so–since it has been the most effective way to reach people who are drawn to the type of work I do [nutritional consulting and energy healing].

I am truly grateful to know you and to be able to call you friend!

    Sincerely,
    Sherry

  40. Molly Weleski

I have been a huge fan of the Mosaic Magazine for a few years now. It’s always a treat to pick it up from my favorite store. I love the articles, the exposure it gives to artists who contribute their work and the advertising it displays of upcoming events. Plus (a very big PLUS!) it reaches out to the smaller communities by being available to places such as Grande Prairie. (We would never know of some of the big names that are coming to Edmonton and Calgary and would miss a chance at seeing them). And it’s FREEEE! What more could a person ask for?

    The spiritual community is blessed.

    In Gratitude,
    Molly

  41. Marty

I love your magazine! The articles are interesting. It’s real and I find that it sits right with my soul. It’s great to know that so many people are moving forward spiritually.

    Keep up the great work,
    Marty

  42. Alexander

I have been reading Mosaic for years, and greatly appreciate the feature articles, and especially the calendar of events for Edmonton and area. Mosaic provides a vital link to new thinking and networking opportunities in support of health, lifestyle, and personal and spiritual growth. The change in format to a glossy, color publication has greatly enhanced my reading enjoyment in recent issues.

I look forward to each issue, and only wish this came out every two months instead of once every season. Thank you and your team of writers, advertisers and distributors for helping people find alternatives for healing, health, and insights in this path of life.

    Alexander

  43. Donna Reilly

I was very fascinated by your entire magazine this month. I realize there is always a connection to all the articles, advertising, pictures, well pretty much everything. It’s all about the flow and it was definitely all there!

Their was a common demominator in every article - each represented an experience or a challenge, whichever way you choose to call it, that led to enlightenment, regardless of the circumstances or situations. And isn’t that what is all about? I was truly able to take away something from each one of them.

Thank you so much for this magazine. It is just one of the many tools that I’ve recently used to help me with my own journey.

    With Gratitude, Donna

  44. Ina Clarke

“I love reading your magazine because it assisted me in re-connecting the fragments of my soul into a beautiful mosaic.”

    Hi Connie,

I have spoken to you before, re: advertising. I will be interested in the next issue to advertise my workshops and courses. My family and I moved here from South Africa to put our footprints in the snow about 18 months ago. We loved every part of moving, but with such a huge change it certainly unsettles your spirit. New hopes, new opportunities, new growth, new friends and colleagues.

I have made some great connections with people through your magazine and it instilled a new sense of “I can do it” in me. I am a therapeutic reflexologist with an immense amount of training that afforded me to already work in hospitals and I.C.U. in South Africa. I am also an educator and run networking groups for woman. All the newness and getting out of my comfort zones was a bit of a stretch initially. But witnessing all the wonderfully talented and beautiful people in this town and getting such support has finally given me new purpose. And an immense amount of gratitude.

Thank you for the journey of strength.
    Ina

  45. Deanna Fuoco

I really love Mosaic Magazine. It is the best, most insightful magazine in all of Canada! In this issue, I loved all the articles. I really enjoyed Peter’s article about how health symptoms are just the surface of some more deeper issues to work on. I always love Skye’s articles as well, since her feng shui tips help me in remembering to keep my home clutter free and clear to manifest abundance.

Thank you to everyone that works so hard at putting together Mosaic. We all really appreciate your efforts!

    Deanna Fuoco

  46. Carleen Brigley

I love Mosaic Magazine, and I look foward to every issue. The artwork is BEAUTIFUL!!

  47. Patti Rinas

    Hi Connie and everyone reading,

I live in rural Alberta and it was really uplifting and totally enchanting to read articles that I felt that I could relate to, not only once, but each one of them. I picked up the magazine in Fort Sakatchewan and I wonder if you will get out to Vegreville area. I haven’t seen it there yet. There are so many dimensions to the human being. The spiritual aspect of people is often at the end of the trail. People who live in the country often don’t have access to spiritual resources. I really appreciate having the opportunity to gain knowledge and share my thoughts.

    Patti

  48. M. Lynn Ward

    Dear Wonderful Mosaic,

You are getting better and better, issue by issue. And that is saying a lot - Mosaic never was shabby. I love you all.

    M. Lynn Ward

  49. Amanda Bryant

Mosaic Magazine has provided me with inspiration each and every time I pick it up. Three years and three months ago today my 9 year-old son passed away suddenly. His death set into motion a journey that has been both heart-wrenching and inspiring. This tragedy opened my eyes, my heart, and my mind up to more than I ever imagined. I grew spiritually.

My realization was further developed by various books including ‘Inspiration‘ by Dr. Wayne Dyer and later Gary Zukav’s ‘The Seat of the Soul‘ (which was of course introduced to me by the very first Mosaic Magazine I picked up). It was through these books and Mosaic I learned about and became more and more interested in energy.

Mosaic Magazine features the very essence of what I strive to one day be part of. Working full-time as an RN and raising a young family, my aspirations often take a back seat, but Mosaic Magazine keeps me focused. I read every word from front to back and look forward to every new issue.

    Thank you,
    Amanda

  50. W. T. Barrett

Fabulous, inspirational artwork; enlightening, thought-provoking articles. This magazine is a return to again and again keepsake. Thank you!

  51. Christina King

I love Mosaic Magazine! It is far better than Cosmo, Glamour, Star, Us - all the ones geared toward my age group. I love reading as much as I can about Mind, Body, and Soul, and your magazine provides wonderful infomation. I love that it’s local as well! Keep up the good work!

  52. Michelle Tripe'de'Roche

    Hello,

I look forward to reading Mosaic Magazine for a variety of reasons! I enjoy reading the articles on different forms of holistic body/mind/spirit therapy and learning what is new and/or not talked about. The articles provide validation for me that these types of healing modalities do work and are available to me.

As well, the book authors that you have included in your magazine are amazing! Who knew that little Edmonton could draw such known authors! It’s nice to know that if I am ever looking for a type of holistic treatment, I can easily find this information in Mosaic, thus saving me time from searching the internet. Thank you for all of the resources - it is the only magazine that I must read from cover to cover.

    In Spirit,
    ~M~

Namaste ~ I love Mosaic Magazine. I live for it and by the time the new one comes out, the last copy is quite tattered and well read. I carry it everywhere and I grab copies for my friend who really appreciate it. Thank-you Connie, for your magazine, for the soul.

  54. Rhianne

I love ♥ Mosaic! It’s so beautiful. You can tell the contributors and artists work creatively through love!

  55. Garrette Hansen

I have a passion for reading! It has been so amazing meeting new people, and trying new foods at each ‘Book Club’ evening. Thank you Connie for organizing this wonderful way to connect with others on their path.

  56. Cassandra Parker

I have been reading Mosaic for quite sometime now since I have been up here for four years and coming across it has deeply helped me along emotionaly, spiritually, and with wisdom too. I have borderline personality and the beautiful articles that you contribute in every issue are so creative that they help me to live one day at a time. The tattered soul within does not seem so weak after reading the various issues you put out which I immediately read. It beams my heart that there is so much more awareness within the soul to keep you going and in your own peace. I really love Mosaic. Please keep it coming!

  57. Elizabeth Pawluk

“What I love about Mosaic Magazine” is Connie Brison - a yummy scrumptuous tell-it-like-it is editor who seeks out the BEST enlightening information for us - her dedicated readers/followers. Connie is a clear, direct communicator and she uses her innate talents to keep us informed about people and issues that are directly relevant to our lives. I also love seeing the talented artists she features as well.

So glad we share space on this blessed planet. Connie, YOU are one to know for sure. And I LOVE your comment that you write about what makes you cry - that simple - it touches your heart deeply. I also love that your articles grab me immediately and take me to my heart.

AND - “I am that”!!! (How good does it get??)

    LOVE YOU, Elizabeth

  58. Jane Jordan

Connie, you are truly a gem.

Thanks for the online ezine updates. Just when I think the days are blah, Mosaic is in my inbox to make me smile and take stock that: “It’s just a thought, and a thought can be changed.”

Mosaic is a lovely little reminder.

    Jane

  59. Pam

    Hi Connie.

I love your magazine. It is just the vehicle to get the names and businesses of people who are out there to really help people.

I am currently involved with a small school here in Edmonton. Intuition By Design, and we are looking to run courses, classes and workshops during the summer. I think an article about the school would be a lovely addition to the magazine.

    Pam

  60. Howie Hoggins

    Greetings, Connie!

I wanted to tell you what I love about Mosaic Magazine. I love the incredible diversity of articles and information that you and your contributing writers share. I love that you feature the amazing artwork of local artists in the magazine. I love that the people who contribute to your magazine are everyday people sharing their awesome talents, gifts and insights. I love the phenomenal array of business card advertisements that appear in the back of the magazine. I love the calendar of events that affords me the opportunity to choose to experience new adventures with local facilitators and practitioners. I love the interviews that you do with amazing people; it gives me the feeling of being present and listening in on a casual conversation. And finally, I love the availability of the magazine; it is so easy to pick up a copy.

Thank you, Connie, for making Mosaic Magazine part of your life’s purpose and sharing it with the community.

    Howie Hoggins

  61. Vera

    Connie,
Mosaic is not anonymous or impersonal for a long time for me. I know it inside out and every new issue is like coming together with known friends. Very creative the way you share knowledge with us. I love Mosaic Magazine.
    Thank you, Vera

  62. Donald Payne

Hey, love your magazine. I bought a remote viewing kit from PSITECH a couple of years ago and have practiced on and off. I think readers would really enjoy a article on the origins of remote viewing and how once you use this tool it shows, or I guess gives you a sense of, how were all connected.

  63. Evelyn Carr

    Connie,
The profound honesty written in your articles is what brings me back each month to Mosaic Magazine. I live in Kelowna B.C. and was introduced to your magazine by my sister who lives in Edmonton. The fact that we lived only a few miles from where you lived as a child, brings a strong connection and understanding of your views and comments.
Your spiritual strengths are such an inspiration. The people that you have interviewed are incredible. My greatest disappointment is that I will not be able to make it to Edmonton to see Adam. I have all of his books, except for the most recent one. It is my intention to manifest the opportunity to meet him and do a workshop with him. My thoughts will be with him on that day. I feel that you are living the life that many dream of.
    Wishing you continued success.

  64. J. Burgess

As a loyal reader, I look forward to your magazine every month because it is a good connection to the people in our community who offer new perspectives on looking, reviewing and advancing our spiritual selves. Who doesn’t want to achieve new levels thereby opening to receiving abundance in whichever area one desires.
I love it, it has helped me!

  65. Geri Clark

    Connie
It was an amazing experience to meet you at a Sense of Serenity. Thank you for your time and conversation. I have to tell you I have been a reader of Mosaic for many, many years as well as an owner of a number of your bracelets. Firstly, the last issue of the magazine is my all time favorite - I have read, and re-read it several times - congrats. The artwork in the magazine just gets better and better. Keep up the great work. You are truly an inspiration!

  66. Jo-Ann

Hi Connie - Mosaic magazine (and now the website) just keeps getting better and better. I loved it when it went glossy and colourful, but the artwork you feature is always amazing. I can’t name a favourite issue or article as each issue inspires me more and more. I hope to one day have a small business up and running and you can be sure that I will be in touch with you for advertising! Your article on Mark Romero and his music tugged at my heartstrings in a BIG way. I went onto his website, have joined in on a couple of his harmonic alignment calls, and even ordered his CD’s. . . all because of the article in Mosaic! I always pick up extra copies and take them to work; several people have commented that they had never seen the magazine before, and are always surprised when they learn it is FREE! Keep up the wonderful work Connie! Namaste, *(jmm

  67. Arlene McPherson

I just picked up a copy of your magazine from my Reiki teachers. It is wonderful. I came home and read all of it. I really enjoyed the interview with Adam “Dreamkeeper”. I would love to win his book and DVD. I am sending my copy of your magazine to my granddaughter in Red Deer and letting her know where she can pick it up. Keep up the good work!!!! I can hardly wait for the Fall copy to arrive.
    Thanx, Arlene

  68. Linda Warwick

    Love this website! Great Job!

  69. Holly

I have always looked forward with great anticipation to get my copy of Mosaic Magazine! Besides being free and informative it is perfect reading for my bathtime. I entered a contest in Mosaic a number of years ago for a free reading with Marlene Chapman from the AndNow Center and WON! The opportunity to meet her has changed my life in so many ways. Thanks Marlene! I see in your latest newsletter that you are reading Abraham-Hicks. So glad you are sharing their message and choosing their material for your book club selection. I hope your magazine will feature them more and often!!! Thanks again Connie for being a part of a fabulous magazine! Fondly, Holly.

  70. Vivian Luoma

I find Mosaic a pleasure to read (electronic or in print). The information in the articles are concise, straightforward and explains what you need to know. The visuals, illustrations, colors, and artwork (plus the layout) greatly contibutes to a beautiful compelling experience. Thankyou so much for your efforts. You are a living example of quality, and the essence of free expression!

  71. Angela Angell

Like a treasure chest for personal and spiritual growth, Mosaic has initiated a number of soulful journeys for me into words and art. Even when I don’t know what I am looking for exactly, I exactly find it in Mosaic. Thank-you.

  72. Christina

I love Mosaic Magazine! It’s so refreshing to read a magazine that focuses on mind, body, and spirit, not like those fashion magazines that are so superficial. I receive the e-newsletters, and I enjoy browsing the website too. Keep up the great work!

  73. Sherry

I have to say that I absolutely love Mosaic Magazine. I have learned so much from the articles and paid forward to many many people who are also searching for new alternatives for health and well being. The artwork is absolutely fabulous!!! Every day is a new day and I always look forward to what new events or information I will get from your magazine. Keep up the good work!!!!

  74. Linda Godwin

I have been an enthusicatic reader since the first time I saw a copy at my local library. There is always an article that relates directly to events and experiences in my life, and leaves me feeling that there are others out there going through the same struggles, and challenges. The artwork is always a highlight of the magazine. I always make myself a cup of tea, and sit down for a bit to read your magazine cover to cover. The I pass it on to friends who may have missed it, so it gets recycled as well. Thanks for the great read! Linda

  75. Angela

I am always so excited when a new issue of Mosaic arrives on the stands or in my inbox. It is a gorgeous, glossy and soul satisfying medley of artwork, articles, people, products, and events. I especially appreciate seeing how other practitioners advertise and advocate their work.

  76. ann marie

I first came across this wonderful magazine when I was referred to Ms. Norma Hope for colon hydrotherapy. I have always picked up things to read no matter where I am, but these magazines draw my attention with the beautiful bright covers. So I read it and was hooked… I never seem to find one when I go to these locations, so I look forward to reading your e-mails. But just the other morning (I work night shift) I needed to mail a letter on my break and low and behold there was one single copy sitting on a stand in the lobby. I thought it was quite funny because I work post partum and your cover this month reflected that. Continued blessings to you and your contributors for an awesome magazine which always gives me positive thoughts on how to heal… Thank you!!!!

  77. Janet Macdonald

Hello, I had seen your magazine when I lived in Wetaskiwin, Alberta and loved it. But we moved east a couple of years ago near Halifax, Nova Scotia. I am so happy to have found you online. Keep up the wonderful work. Thanks, Janet Macdonald

  78. Cindee

Every time I read the magazine it helps me “find” myself again - to connect with spirit by the use of the wonderful words used by yourself and the many incredible people who submit articles. No where else do I feel so much like I belong than when I read Mosaic Magazine. In our busy lives it is great to have something that brings so much joy and enlightenment at the same time. Thank you for what you do. I, for one, am grateful to have found this great source for reminding me of who I can be, or even who I am already.

  79. Deanna Fuoco

I love Mosaic Magazine because the articles are inspiring, uplifting, and educational. I appreciate all the writers who contribute their knowledge and talents to Mosaic Magazine. I also value a forum for a spiritual community to connect and to hear about events going on in Edmonton. Thank you to everyone at Mosaic who works to put the magazine together.

  80. Shanta

My Granny passed away on July 11 this year. She also had a great garden that we have many childhood memories of shelling peas, pulling carrots and eating loads of zucchini loaf! I was lucky enough that last autumn she came up to Edmonton and gave me quite a few splits of her overgrown perennials for me to plant in my garden. Now, every day when I look out to my garden, I think of her. Thanks for the great editorial about your memories of your mom’s garden. Your message of everyday moments really hit home for me. ~S

    Dear Connie,

“Let the beauty that we love be what we do.” - Rumi

With every issue of Mosaic, from cover to cover, you are truly making beauty and helping others find their way back to that in themselves.
On this Labour Day weekend, I offer you the deepest bow of appreciation for sharing your labour of love and beauty with us all.

    Namaste

  82. Carolyn Collin

Mosaic Magazine is a mini relaxing vacation for me. I suddenly forget about the stress that may be going on for me. It’s fully in alignment with my core values and I feel spiritually abundant after reading its entries. It’s a great source for other information that the reader wouldn’t have otherwise been aware of and, as a life coach in training, I can see the possiblities it could mean once I begin my practice. I recommend it to everyone who wants to create positive value in their lives. Thank you to Mosaic and its many contributors.

    Create a Blessed Day!
    Carolyn Collin

  83. Theresa

Something happened that made me giggle this blustery morning in Red Deer and I thought I would share!

I was leafing through the Autumn edition of Mosaic Magazine this morning, finishing up by reading the ‘Con Amore’ article. I read Connie’s heartfelt and loving story about her brother Gene whom had journeyed on 9 years ago and the deep connection for the two of them that continues on to this day. I loved the part about the song “Bird on a Wire” being a strong healing ribbon between the two of them.

So it’s 10:30-ish and I’m listening to CKUA on the radio as I read. I come to the end of the ‘Con Amore’ article and a song starts to play quietly. I said to myself, “It can’t be?” - but it was and as I turned the radio up I heard the voice of a very much younger Leonard Cohen singing a 1969 version of his song Bird on a Wire.

I love it when things like that happen and I had a very strong picture of Connie’s brother chuckling away feeling very happy!

    Love Theresa
PS: Your magazine is loved in Red Deer!

  84. Myra Abstreiter

I love that your magazine covers the body, the spirit and the soul. I especially love the Astrological Forecast.

  85. ann marie

This magazine is truly adorable with its positive articles and messages. I often go to the lobby to see when the next issue is out to read and pass it on…with all its positive vibes. Thank you for great stuff!!!

  86. Bernadette Opheim

I always look forward to a new issue of Mosaic Magazine. I get just as excited as I did when I was a young girl and the Christmas Wish Book came out. That is what Mosaic is to me - a Wish Book. I love it.

    Sincerely, Bernadette Opheim

  87. Katharine

Thank you, Connie, for the tickets to Deva Premal, Miten and Manoose. I am so grateful that I allowed your gift - my manifestation - into my life and made the small changes in my schedule to be able to attend in Calgary on Friday evening. (Curious how we ask, and then almost push away with both hands that which is given to us!!!!)

My longest childhood friend accompanied me. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the River Cafe, al fresco, amidst the fall colours and laughing ducks!

Sherry, the event coordinator, was a wonderful host, finding us front row seats and welcoming us to a small reception during the intermission. The music, chanting… it continues to reverberate. And while this was somewhat out of the ordinary for my friend, she let me know today she felt a peacefulness throughout the weekend.

It was an exquisitely beautiful experience in every sense…just like Mosaic!

    With gratitude, blessings and namaste,

    Katharine

  88. Chris Bilocerkowec

I just love reading Connie’s articles, especially about her experiences about her dearly departed family members. I lost my mother about the same time that Connie did and I found that I could really relate to her article, especially about going out to the garden where her mom spent a lot of time, and her eating peas! I felt as if she was talking about my growing up years. I have had 4 family members and one friend die in 2.5 years. I have had a visitation from 3 of them so far. To non-believers they think that I am nuts. I am glad to have found people who believe in this and have had their own experience. Loved ones depart from here but they are always with us.

  89. Heather F

I just love picking up your magazine from my favorite store. My husband and I read it, front to back. I know if I can`t get out, I can always look forward to getting it on-line. Thank you for the option for both. Every article has some meaning to us, so please keep it coming. Love to you all.
    Love and Light, Heather

  90. Donna Reilly

Thank you Connie for your dedication and passion for what you do. This magazine has clearly validated, for me, why I have chosen the path that I am on right now! The articles in this publication have enlighten and/or inspired me, just as I am sure many others. I am truly grateful for having the opportunity to write some articles, advertise and read Mosaic Magazine.

  91. cassandra parker

I really enjoy when your Mosaic comes out with each change of season. It has different issues it deals with and complementarily lets you know about new events that are happening too.

I thoroughly enjoyed the “Walking My Truth Led to My Healing Home” in the Winter issue that recently came out as it essentially deals with coming to terms with who you really are in this wide open universe. We all have an awareness of our dreams and passions but when we begin to see those desires for what they really are, they become great growth gifts of ours that we treasure within our souls and our spirits too.

The picture that grew into making the house a reality for Donna was a miles walk but also a miles gain for her. It so challenged her in many ways but she faced them and did not let them knock her down in any way as God took her hand and said: “I Am Here To Oversee You In My Own Way,” spoken in the heart as: “Let Go Let God.” She had full trust and faith in her every step and it became a work of art for her to please herself (as we ourselves eventually work on pleasing ourselves our own ways too).

Her whole experience was an opportunity to evolve fully with her own hope and wisdom and shows us that we too can accomplish whatever it is that we desire to step into and challenge ourselves with strength and wisdom. Our own hearts help us, as it helped her in her guidance, of each second of language that was spoken from the very soul she reached down to find within her, and by George she found all to make her dreams complete as we too can also do with hope and strength.

  92. Myra Abstreiter

I always look forward to your next issue just to see what new item you have published (besides all the wonderful articles). The cover on the last issue was AWESOME!! So intriguing. I love it.

  93. Katharine

Connie, you are a woman after my heart. I love to eat good food, in beautiful surroundings, engaged in soulful conversation. I love to read about food, shop for it, cook it, and share it… a true “foodie”. Our own City Palate - a free magazine like Mosaic - is a favourite, too. I love food so much that I’ve included this particular quality in my resume!…an alternate form of payment in exchange for my talents and gift.

What a wonderful creative gift to share with your readers and it holds a special appeal as it is a more intimate way of being with another. As I reflect, part of my hesitation to attend the monthly dinner gatherings is the size… I prefer those intimate gatherings, around a small table, tete a tete, couer a coeur. I look forward to sharing this with you sometime!

    Namaste.

  94. Rose Stewart

    Hi Connie!
I shamelessly admit that I found my way here because I wanted to enter the lunch contest. Since I’m here, let me tell you what I love about being a reader of Mosaic. EVERYTHING! I just discovered Mosaic 2 issues ago and I have read both of those issues cover to cover. The art work is amazing! How do you find these talented artists! I’m thrilled to have found a magazine that covers the topics that are of such relevance to me and other like-minded souls who care about healing our beautiful planet. It starts with healing ourselves. I look forward to all the future issues of Mosaic!
    Cheers!
    Rose Stewart

  95. Carleen Brigley

    CONNIE,
Thank you for producing such a beautiful issue each and every season. I wish it was every month! I cannot choose one thing I love best, because I read it and savour it from cover to cover.

  96. Sharon Lawson

My daughter introduced me to Mosaic and I am really enjoying reading about all the different healing methods avaliable.

I have already tried Reconnectve Healing with Sherry Martini, whose ad I read in Mosaic, and am looking forward to finding workshops on “Breathing”.

I had a hard time finding the magazine because I don’t usually shop at most of the locations where it is distributed, so I got a subscription so I wouldn’t miss anything.
Keep up the good work. I love Mosaic.

    Sharon Lawson

  97. Brenda Fraser

I picked up a Mosaic Magazine last year and now look forward to each new issue. I love the colors and the artwork. You’ve done a fantastic job. Your articles are insightful, informative and touch a soul where it needs to be healed. Thank you. Best wishes for the holiday season.

  98. Cheryl Martinson

I would just love to say that I really enjoy reading Mosaic Magazine for so many reasons. It’s a magazine designed for such a powerful group of like minded individuals who are seeking personal transformation and improving their life. I used to drive 45 minutes to find Mosaic Magazine (then I realized it was at one of the groceries stores near my house…hahaha). I continuously use the magazine as a reference and read them over again. What a fabulous magazine… I have even linked up to Mosaic on my website for all of my readers to have access too. Love the magazine and I look forward to each and every issue. Very well put together. :)

  99. Emily

I just love Mosaic! It has very informative and inspirational articles. There are very unique venders just in Mosaic - it is wonderful being able to find people that you don’t normally find in publications like the daily newspapers.

  100. Axcella Zelensky

I just love your magazine. I read it from cover to cover when I get it. I love the informative stories that help in my journey. I also love the email update I get from Mosaic. I would love to go to the book club event but my limited resources keep me from even buying the book or going for the meals. Maybe someday.

    Keep up the good work.

  101. Suzanne Bélanger

Hi Connie et al (I know it’s a group effort surrounding a good leader)

I appreciate your magazine for many reasons…

    - It’s hard evidence of a community of like-minded people who are otherwise not so easy to find.
    - It inspires me to see the variety and depth of talent we have at home.
    - Your association with Catherine Potter adds to your power as she is a phenomenal person.
    - I feel more balanced personally after reading an issue.
    - I have more hope for this chaotic world because groups like yours are bold enough to step out and state their beliefs and truths, regardless of what mainstream thinking is!

Thank you for lighting the way… :)
    Suzanne

  102. Marlene Kaup

    Hi Connie,

Thanks for emailing your newsletter/ezine. I am in Arizona as a winter visitor and miss the magazine and the book club. Keep on sending the emails and doing a great job!

    Marlene

  103. Katharine

Thank you, dear Connie. Our luncheon was a wonderful way to share time, “tete a tete, coeur a coeur,” on a cold January afternoon. Continued success as you evolve your labour of love, Mosaic.
A deep bow of appreciation to you…

    Namaste, Katharine

  104. Lisa Attwell

    Hi Connie,

First off, I want to thank you for Mosaic Magazine.

Secondly, I thought you’d want to hear how one of your advertisers has changed my life, forever. Her name is Bonnie Bergen and she is a Registered Massage Therapist and an angel. (I’m not sure if the angel part is registered with anyone!) She practices Theta Healing, Intuitive Readings and much, much more.

I went to see Bonnie at a particularly difficult time in my life and was transformed after ONE session with her. I have suffered from depression and extreme anxiety for many years and since seeing Bonnie for almost two years now, I am a happy, healthy, vibrant woman, mother and wife. I work full time as well.

Bonnie has shown me how to take control of my life. She has shown me the power that I possess. She is my angel on earth and I would invite ANYONE who has ever wondered what is wrong in their life to reach out to her for help!

Thank you for all that you give through your publication Connie. I want everyone and anyone to hear about Bonnie Bergen AND Mosaic Magazine because both of you help me to connect to different and wonderful realities. Before Mosaic I felt so different from other people. Now I feel like I found my place of birth!

Keep up the amazing work Connie. I can not thank you enough for Mosaic!

    Lisa Attwell

  105. Sabrina

I have been reading and using Mosaic as a resource for a wholistic approach to living and where to find different business in my area to enhance and aid me in this life journey. I seem to always find what I am asking and more when I pick up Mosaic. It is refreshing to have a periodical that is readily accessible and not driven with a particular bias or advertisers.

Being recently transported back to Edmonton because of a new role as a mom (to be back with family) I have been seaching for ways to feel like this is HOME. Thank you for helping me find places to go to feel a sense of connectedness and community. I look forward to meeting with you Connie! There is only 7 degrees of separation!

  106. Rae

I love your magazine and read every word of it as soon as I get home….it’s a way for me to give myself “me” time. I get so much out of it always. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  107. Chris Bilocerkowec

Connie I just loved your February issue of Mosaic. I especially loved your article regarding dreams and not to give up on them. I believe everything in our lives has its own pre-determined timeline and when the time is right, the events will happen. My mantra is always “things happen for a reason” and I don’t question it. The book dinner clubs that you arrange are fantastic and a great way to meet some very interesting people. Had I not read your magazine I would have missed out on this. Keep up the good work Connie!

  108. SueEllen

Wow! I look forward to every new copy. I read Mosaic, then my friends at work want to read it. I love the art work! Thanks. SueEllen

  109. Pam Weight

I write to tell you how much I am enjoying your ezine/newsletter (after happening upon it by chance). I would so love to attend your book club meetings; however, distance prevents as I am based in the midlands of England. Anyway, Dr. Pearls’ book is ordered and I will engage in my virtual club minus the yummy meal. As well as the interesting and mind stretching articles, your astrology section format is new to me - and one that I can relate to.

I am so appreciative of my happenstance! Thank you.

    Best Wishes,
    Pam

  110. Natalia Bukhanova

    Hello Connie,

A couple of days ago I picked up a new copy of Mosaic and read it with great interest. Especially I liked the articles: “My AHA Moment” by Darlene Klassen and “Story of Discovering Oneness” by Amira Eva Loo. They made me think and look differently at myself and the world.

The article “Creating Rattles That Shake Up The Soul” touched me deeply. Even looking at these images of rattles I can understand that it is very powerful thing. I knew about making dolls to solve psychological problems or to make a difficult desision. But those rattles in the article by A.B. Goodwin are really shaking up the soul.

I liked very much the artworks of Aynsley Nisbet; they are bright and very graphycal, and have deep meaning in them.

I am looking forward to reading the next issue of Mosaic (as always).

    Sincerely,
    Nataliya Bukhanova.

  111. Carly

What I look forward to the most when I grab Mosaic Magazine is the article written by Connie at the very end of the magazine. I can always relate in some way because it’s genuine and heartfelt. Thank you very much for providing such a valuable resource!

Also, enjoyed this month’s newsletter on the Kinder Eggs Oracle. I’m going to try it and get back to you on my results :)

    Love, Carly

  112. SueEllen

I have seen your magazine improve with each issue. My how you’ve grown! I love the artworks, and appreciate the therapist articles, so I can get to know some of the local therapists and what makes them tick! Keep up the great work, Mosaic! Oh by the way, I have turned on some friends to Mosaic, and now they are looking for it when its freshly out. Happy spring!

  113. Bernadette

I enjoy all the articles and it is great when I learn something new! I am always thrilled when I see someone I know has written an article or has an advertisement in it; and last but not least I love the artwork.

    Love, Bernadette

PS: I also love the emails I get from Mosaic.

  114. Rose

I just wanted to write to tell you how much I enjoy reading your articles. It struck a nerve with me when you mentioned your “fertility” difficulties. Motherhood didn’t come easily for me or my brother’s wife. Now my two sons are 20 and 22. My brother and his wife had a “miracle” pregnancy and their daughter is also very special to me. The year she was born I followed my instincts and wouldn’t give up when I “felt” something was wrong with me. On February 23, I celebrated 9 years since my life saving surgery. It definitely confirmed to me that if we “listen” to our bodies, we are definitely better off. I have been seeing a holistic practitioner for over 4 years. I admit that I was skeptical the first time I went but even he is blown away by my progress. My “regular” doctor and my husband have both noticed a vast improvement in me. Your “Learning to embrace my weirdness” article made me think of a plaque that was given to me: “We have a strange and unique relationship: you’re strange and I’m unique”. Keep up the great work!

  115. Loretta Mitchell

I love reading the many interesting stories and it is especially rewarding when I have had the chance to meet some of the people who are featured in your magazine articles.
Thank you for creating such an informative and helpful Mind, Body and Sprititual guide. I live out of town so whenever I get the chance I pick up several copies to share with my friends and other people that I meet along the way. Interestingly there is always a pertinent story to match a particular person’s needs at the moment. Thank you!

I LOVE MOSAIC and look forward to each issue. Initially I quickly flip through it paying particular attention to the art. Each piece is unique and so lovely. Next I read Connie’s comments, appreciating her words. Finally, when the moments are just right, I read each written word learning more with each issue on the many forms of healing and well being. Keep up the good work Connie. My one ongoing request is to be a distributor of your beautiful Sacred Stones jewelry.

    Have a wonderful summer.

    Hi Connie,

I just dropped a number of magazines at The Old Grind (in Edson) and, not surprisingly since it was late afternoon and very quiet, the staff were sitting there and when they saw me come in, two girls immediately said: “Yay… the Mosaic Magazine’s here.” It turns out that they eagerly look for it every quarter and love to read the articles and admire the artwork. I showed them my piece of artwork in it (which looks awesome, by the way, Thanks!) and they, being teenagers, were “blown away.”

A nice response, and I thought I’d pass it on to you.

I fell in love with Carol Breen’s angel paintings about 5 years ago when my husband was diagnosed with colon cancer. Carol sent me beautiful cards that I treasure, especially Chorus Borealis - when my husband died that card has “carried me on.” I now very much enjoy the various artists Mosaic ’shows & tells’ but always look for one by Carol Breen.

I also enjoy the Mosaic articles very much - some touch home more than others and I appreciate Connie’s experiences and life-long search for the positive. We are on a life-time journery of discovery.

Keep up your journey, Connie - your discoveries are ours!

    Hi Connie,

I just read your article, “Loving what is, just the way it is”. My experience with death has been very similar to yours.

I lost my mom and both grandmas in 2001. I loved them all in totally different ways. And it’s their differences that make me miss them.

My mom was the kindest person you could ever hope to meet. As she lay dying, she was comforting the very people who were caring for her.

Her mom, my g’ma, practically raised me and for all intents and purposes, was my “soul” mother. We were very connected and she is the one I hear whispering in my ear when I’m making decisions.

G’ma nasty, as only I could call her, was a hoot. Always curious about what was going on in the world and tons of fun, even when she was being wicked.

I didn’t always appreciate these women when they were alive but I certainly do now. Even those parts of them I considered “faults” are endearing. Not that I romanticize them, but they loved me in spite of my faults and I learned that I could do the same, thanks to them.

As you said, “It’s a sweet and humbling journey.”

This is the first time I’ve read your magazine even though I’ve seen it on the stands for ages and have even brought a few home. I appreciate the work you are doing. I believe humanity is on the brink of a new revolution and that it is spiritual. It is people like you who are helping us reach that place by providing a medium to share information. Thank you.

    Hello Connie,

I am a young, busy mom of three. With two-year old twins and a three-month-old it is easy to get lost in the day-to-day. I am a very spiritual person who is always interested in learning more and every time I pick up your magazine and read it, it gives me a chance to have some time for myself learning new things about what I want to learn. It not only gives me psychological exercise but spiritual exercise and I remember to look at the bigger picture in life.

Thank you for not letting me forget that even though I am a mother, it does not need to encompass my whole life and there are times it is okay to focus on me and Mosaic gives me the people and their insights into the things I am truly interested in and want to be a part of.

I look forward to every article and every issue and usually grab an extra one to send to my Grandma in Lac La Biche.

Thanks again and please don’t ever stop.
    Charissa

I’m very new to the e-zine. A friend forwarded it to me and I’ve forwarded it to about 20 people in Canada and the U.S.

I really enjoyed the article about Feng Shui. I, also, was drawn to the book: “Why Good People Do Bad Things” and plan to read it in future.

It is informative and, yet, entertaining. It’s a great e-zine.

    Hi,

This magazine “jumped out” at me from the magazine rack in the entrance lobby of a grocery store about a year ago. It was like it magically appeared at that right time and was that “something” that I needed and was looking for … another piece of the puzzle! I have since looked forward to each new issue.

So I think I’m on about my 6th or 7th issue now. I find all the articles very intriguing and informative … and some even comforting.

I also signed up for the e-zine and really like the Book Club idea. I also now have a bunch of new books on my list of books to read … lol. Thank you for a positive and inspiring magazine!!

Dear Connie and other Mosaic Readers,

I found Mosaic when I moved to Edmonton from Colorado in 2003 and initially skimmed, then read it on and off, when I picked one up at my local health food store. I have watched this beautiful, classy, glossy little magazine grow and flourish.

I love it for its focus on the REST of the healing world, the REST of the options available to those of us who are expanding and growing out of our shells to find that the greater Universe belongs to us when we claim it.

The art work coupled with each art-icle speaks non verbal volumes as art always does, and somehow is perfectly aligned with the messages in the articles.

As a former editor myself, I also appreciate the slices of YOU that come through in the magazine, both in the editorial and in the very personal notes you add. Each author emerges whole and complete and yet individual and unique thanks to your skills: not an easy task.

Mosaic fits a very special niche. I too, like so many other readers, peruse it cover to cover. I have found it so helpful, that I am also using it to promote my own healing services now. Thank you Connie. You and Mosaic are making the world a better place by offering options and choices that stimulate and promote growth. I love My Mosaic magazine every issue!

    HI Connie,

I just want to say thank you. The work you do is amazing and you are an angel from God. Alberta is very fortunate to have this magazine, and I, this opportunity for advertisement!

The magazine looks awesome and I had a big huge smile on my face when I saw it and saw my painting on the front. I see how very talented the artists of Mosaic Magazine are and you could of easily said no to me seeing as I still have a ways to go for developing my skill. But you didn’t and I know it will make all the difference in the year to come.

The editing you did is awesome and I know that is a difficult task to capture spirituality in less words!

    Again thank you Connie.

    Many blessings to you!

    Tons of Love!

    Angie

    Hello Connie,

Thank you for another inspiring issue of Mosaic. As usual, I enjoyed your two pages. You are a gifted, humorous, down-to-earth writer and what you write about touches me every time. You have so much to do and you always find the time to do one more thing. Thank you for sharing your experiences.

    Hugs, Nicole

I just wanted to comment on how wonderful your magazine is. I have read Mosaic for many years now and I look forward to picking up the newest issue when it comes out… I love the Autumn one already.

I must say, I really enjoy reading about you and all of your life changing moments. Sometimes I feel as though you and I have walked down the same path in many ways (maybe it’s the “Ukrainian” backgrounds that we both share). You are such a down to earth, “real” person… never change that.

I think it is great how you focus on local artists in your magazine. Have you ever considered having a young person submit artwork? My daughter (Rumour) is only 7 years old, but has been truly Blessed by God in her artwork. Her work is whimsical in nature, and she uses a multitude of colourful mediums. Rumour has already had her artwork featured on another local Alberta magazine cover and we are currently having a book made on her artwork (it is all angels, butterflies and a few fairies). Her huge hope is to (through her art) help people and animals (being poor, needy or sick) here and abroad. I really do believe in Rumour’s art to make a difference.

    Sincerely,
    Sherry LesCure

I read the latest -Aug 2010- edition cover to cover…and WOW! I was amazed at not only the many new (to me) and intriguing healing modalities offered - yet also by the powerful and eloquent writing and personal sharing by the contributors. I very much respect and enjoy the open and personal tone which you set, Connie, as editor; I feel that this welcomes and allows others to follow. Well done!
